First Update!

I'm so excited about this girls! Any suggestions on how we should do this? I'm just going to post four pictures for now and I guess we can figure out the exact logistics from there. Love you guys!

This is right before boarding the night train from Zaqatala, a city in the north, to Baku, the capital. It was way too hot and so uncomfortable but a great experience to have in all.

A Georgian fare, Xengel, dumplings! These were filled with mutton but usually they're filled with pork, mushrooms, or cheese.

This is Heydar Aliyev Park. This one is in Balaken, but there's one in every single town with a statue in every park. Heydar Aliyev was the former president of Azerbaijan and is considered a god here. He pulled this country out of the rubble (literally perhaps) after the Soviet Republic disbanded.

After a big watermelon eating contest. We all tried to eat as much watermelon as possible in half an hour. Unfortunately I am a slow eater so I finished last at 1.1 kilos (1 kilo=2.2 pounds.) Despite being the loser, I still stand by my statement that I could have eaten more if I had been alloted more time. We really have a lot of downtime here.
